NashFilm Music Program

The NashFilm Music Program was launched more than a decade ago to showcase the diverse music of Nashville to the Film, TV and Advertising sync communities, and is a part of the annual Nashville Film Festival. Through educational Music Supervisor panels, one-on-one mentorships, artist showcases, and VIP events, the objective of the committee is to bring more sync opportunities to the Nashville Community. These virtual and in-person VIP events happen over the course of three days/nights and in conjunction with Nashville Film Festival programming.

PANELS & SPECIAL EVENTS

Panels cover in-depth topics in sync music touching on the intimate details of music supervision and music licensing. It’s our objective to bring sync opportunities to the Nashville Music community with our unique and informational panels.

The Case Study in Sync: TV & Film + Marketing & Games: An in-depth behind the scenes look at the decisions that are made when selecting a song for a sync placement by dissecting specific examples of work by top music supervisors and music producers. We break down ‘the brief’, discuss how tempo, tone/feeling, and theme play a role, examine the reason(s) a song gets selected or not selected, and the importance of context in a song. This is an advanced look at sync placements.

The Download: This private event puts you in the room with the decision makers who can license your music for films, television, trailers, advertising, and video games. Each panelist will share inside information on their current needs and how you can best interact with them.

The Upload: An opportunity to sit face-to-face with your favorite supervisor. Pitch them music for their projects as described at The Download, or network and build a relationship. The time is yours to do with it what you want! Receive one free session with a badge and additional meet and greet meetings for a fee. Sign up for these sessions take place at the end of The Download.
