Join us for #NashFilm56, a weeklong celebration of film, music, and culture, from September 18–24, 2025 in Music City. With nearly 150 films, unforgettable Q&As, dynamic panels, and cash & in-kind prizes, this is your chance to showcase your work on a global stage.

🏆 Winning films in the Narrative, Animated, and Documentary Short categories are eligible for Academy Award® consideration.

📅 Key Deadlines:

• Regular: May 7, 2025

Happy holidays from our programmers! Here are a few of their favorite festive films...❄️🤩

🎥 Taylor Lomax: Carol (2015) — “Not a traditional Christmas movie per se, but I never let a December go by without rewatching CAROL. It reminds me of the sweet part of the holiday season’s bittersweetness.”

🎥 Lauren Thelen: The Holiday (2006) — "Mr. Napkinhead, hands down. Bonus films -- Edward Scissorhands (1990) and Tokyo Godfathers (2003)."

🎥 Julia Kipnis: Eyes Wide Shut (1999) — “It may not seem like your typical Christmas movie, but the warm hazy lights and commentary on consumerism make it a holiday staple in my wide open eyes!”

🎥 Jennifer Bonior: Scrooged (1988) — “This silly, over-the-top interpretation of A Christmas Carol starring Bill Murray always transports me back to the good ol' days and puts me in the Christmas spirit.”
