Can you tell me a little about the competition?

Absolutely! Founded in 1969 as the Sinking Creek Film Festival, the Nashville Film Festival (NashFilm) is one of the longest-running film festivals in the country and one of the most acclaimed festivals in the South. For years, film-goers and filmmakers alike have come to experience the big city festival atmosphere and the laid-back Southern hospitality here in Music City. NashFilm has a number of competitions, which include film, screenplays, music, and more, that are designed to shine the spotlight on independent creators.

In September of 2016, NashFilm launched its first ever Virtual Reality Competition, which is one of the first two virtual reality competitions of its kind in the world!  This competition is designed to curate virtual reality that can be experienced on the HTC Vive, Oculus Rift, Gear VR, and Google Cardboard.
