Nashville Film Festival Announces New Board Members and Leadership

uly 20, 2018 – Nashville, TN – Nashville Film Festival announces new and returning board members for the 2017-2018 year as well as new leadership.

New members include David Haspel of Haspel Communications, Inc., Tracy Gershon of Red Light Management, Adrien Good of Flood, Bumstead, McCready & McCarthy, Inc., Claude Kelly – American Singer-Songwriter, Brittany Schaffer of Loeb & Loeb, Scott Waugh – American Film Director, and Julia Bonner of Pierce Public Relations.

Anastasia Brown of Format Entertainment is named President and Jim Scherer of Whizbang, Inc, is announced as Vice President. Adrien Good of Flood, Bumstead, McCready & McCarthy, Inc. is named treasurer and Natasha Corrieri of ServisFirst Bank will remain as secretary.

Anastasia Brown named President of 2018 Nashville Film Festival Board
Anastasia is a music industry professional with 25 years experience in music supervision, television & film production, publishing, artist management, A&R and music placement.  She served as the music supervisor of newly released Lionsgate film, “The Shack” (Octavia Spencer, Tim McGraw, Sam Worthington) and is a co-producer of the soundtrack (Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Lady A, Hillsong United, Kelly Clarkson, Dierks Bentley, Aloe Blacc, Brett Eldredge, LeCrae.)  As a music supervisor Anastasia has worked on projects with Oscar, Grammy, Emmy, Dove wins and nominations.  Credits include “The Shack” (Lionsgate,”) “Hot Pursuit” (New Line Cinema,) “The Americans” (FX,) “The Darkest Hour” (New Regency,) “Footloose” (Paramount,) “August Rush” (WB,) “It’s Complicated” (Universal Pictures,) documentary “For the Love of Music; the Story of Nashville” ( Kings of Leon , Black Keys, Kris Kristofferson, Vince Gill, Emmylou Harris ) “Taken” (Sci-Fi,) “The Darkest Hour” (Regency) and bio-pic “Billy”{Graham,} (Armie Hammer.) As a producer she has developed four television series and two films; one of them released this year starring Tom Hiddleston, “I Saw The Light,” a biopic on the life of Hank Williams, Sr. (Sony Classics.) As a publisher and music consultant, Anastasia has placed close to 50 songs in major films and television series over the last three years.  She is currently a music curator for Reese Witherspoon’s brand and clothing line, Draper James; providing southern music for her worldwide lifestyle followers.  Previously heading up Miles Copeland’s Nashville division of Firstars Management and Ark 21 Records throughout the 90’s, she worked with Keith Urban, Waylon Jennings, Peter Frampton, Leon Russell, Junior Brown and Sting in various capacities.  Anastasia served as a judge on Nashville Star (USA), writes columns for various publications and penned the book, Make Me a Star, of which she is currently writing the second edition with Brian Mansfield.  As a public speaker and mentor, she inspires people of all ages to pursue their career dreams and advises those at a cross roads on the art of reinvention. Mayor Karl Dean and Gov. Bill Haslam awarded Anastasia with the “Trailblazer Award” in 2014 for her endeavors that have changed the landscape of the Nashville Entertainment Industry and supported women in the work force.
