NashFilm Recognizes CEO Ted Crockett As He Departs Role Following the Upcoming 49TH Festival

NASHVILLE FILM FESTIVAL RECOGNIZES CEO TED CROCKETT AS HE DEPARTS ROLE FOLLOWING THE UPCOMING 49TH FESTIVAL
EXECUTIVE SEARCH IN PROGRESS FOR EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR TO LEAD THE FESTIVAL INTO ITS 50TH ANNUAL FESTIVAL IN 2019
May 1, 2018 (Nashville, TN) – The 49th annual Nashville Film Festival will be the last for Ted Crockett serving as its CEO. With creative and business opportunities ahead of him, Crockett plans to exit his role effective May 31, 2018 after fifteen years at the festival. The Nashville Film Festival Board has begun an executive search for the Executive Director who will lead the festival into its 50th year in 2019 and beyond. About his work with the festival, board president Anastasia Brown and vice president Jim Scherer said, “Ted has been instrumental in building the Nashville Film Festival into the leading event it is today, helping its participants open doors, makes deals and positively impact the creative community while generating significant income and exposure for Nashville. We wish him all the best, encourage him in his new ventures, and thank him for his incredible work.”
In announcing his departure, Crockett said, “I am so grateful for the 15 wonderful years that I have been able to serve and work with the Nashville Film Festival team, including the current board president Anastasia Brown, the Nashville Film Festival’s board members, volunteers, sponsors and the Nashville community. My heart is forever tied to the festival and its incredible work connecting diverse communities through the art of film. Additionally, it has been exciting to create opportunities for creatives in film, music and screenwriting to get to the next level of their careers. I will miss the entire collective of individuals and organizations that have helped our event grow 213% since I was given the opportunity to head this incredible organization. I look forward to making this year’s festival the best ever.”
As previously announced, Steven Tyler’s documentary STEVEN TYLER: OUT ON A LIMB will kick off the 49th Annual Nashville Film Festival with its opening night debut on May 10.
